Updated: Aug 5

When it comes to excellence in high school cheerleading, Chiawana High School sets the gold standard. With state titles in 2023 and again in 2025, the Chiawana Cheer Team is not just winning — they're redefining what it means to compete, train, and lead. Under the passionate and innovative leadership of Head Coach Whitney Billman, this powerhouse program is pushing the boundaries of performance and preparation.

The Power Behind the Pom-Poms: Huddlbox

Coach Billman raves about her teams' new tool: the Huddlbox.

"We are a competetive team, two times State Champions. Inside the Huddlbox there is a TV that comes out and we can play all of our music. There is a microphone in here that can go over the music, while the music is still playing. So if you are cheer, dance, if you know, you know. That is a good thing."

With Huddlbox, the Chiawana cheer squad can:

  • Instantly review routines during practice and competition.

  • Break down stunts and transitions in real time.

  • Make quick adjustments that would’ve otherwise waited until after practice.

In a sport where precision is everything, the ability to stop, rewind, and improve on the spot has elevated their training sessions into championship-caliber rehearsals.

A Legacy in Motion

Winning state championships in 2023 and 2025 didn’t happen by accident. It came from a culture of excellence, smart coaching, and innovation. As Coach Billman and her team continue to set the bar higher, tools like the Huddlbox will remain a core part of their formula for success.
